This week our students will be starting their GCSE and A Level exams.
This year's GCSE exams will be taking place from the 15th of May until the 21st of June. Our year 13 students' A Level exams will be taking place at the same time, starting on the 15th of May and finishing on the 26th of June. For those who are unsure about their exam dates, we strongly encourage you to check out your exam timetable: Exam Information
Our teachers have devoted a great deal of effort over the past few years to ensure that their students are fully prepared for their upcoming examinations. We have the utmost confidence that our young learners will excel in their respective topics, and their hard work will be reflected in their results.
We understand that the exam period can be stressful for young people. As a school, we are committed to taking every extra precaution to ensure that the exam environment is as comfortable as possible. Devizes School & Sixth Form College would also like to take this opportunity to reassure our students and their families that these tests will not define their time at school, or their long term futures.
Before the examinations commence, some members of staff would like to take the opportunity to offer some words of encouragement to their students.
"Year 11 have come so far this year and put a fantastic amount of time and effort in preparing for the next few weeks. There’s just a little longer before they can all truly relax and enjoy the summer. I won't wish them luck, because they don't need luck when they’re this well prepared- I can't wait to see all the happy faces on results day!" - Mr Richardson (Head of Year 11)
If you have any questions about the exams or any concerns that you would like to discuss with us, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We wish all of our students the best of luck in their assessments!
