Year 13 students at Devizes School and Sixth Form College, part of The White Horse Federation, are celebrating a fantastic set of results in their A Level and vocational qualifications.
In order to support students with their exam preparation, teachers provided them with detailed feedback from their mock exams and targeted exam practice activities. These sessions continued into June and ran until all examinations had been completed. Students were given additional guided study sessions and many were given staff mentors to monitor their progress and wellbeing. Students were also provided with additional revision and study materials through targeted tutor time sessions.
Students were supported with their wellbeing throughout their two years of study by a dedicated pastoral team who provided support, advice and guidance. They attended celebration events and benefited from talks delivered by the NHS, universities and employers. They also took part in sports events and a wide range of enrichment activities ranging from performing arts to treasure hunts and educational visits.

Headteacher, David Cooper, said:
“I have been incredibly impressed by the manner in which this group of young people have applied themselves to their studies. They have shown a great attitude and work ethic, and have risen to the challenge. The results they have achieved are thoroughly deserved and have made me and the rest of the staff very proud. My thanks to go to the teachers and support staff who have worked with our students to make this possible. It is with a mixture of excitement and sadness that we bid farewell to the cohort and wish them the very greatest of success in the next stage of their careers and beyond.”
Simon Cowley, interim CEO at The White Horse Federation, added:
“Huge congratulations to all our students! You have bright futures ahead and we look forward to seeing what you go on to achieve in the future.
“I also want to thank all our staff for continually going above and beyond to support students and all the parents and carers for their continued support, which we greatly appreciate.”
